Otter House's demise saddens the two of us

We are very sorry to hear about the Otter House's decision to close its doors ["Otter House planning to close," Jan. 8]. It's a wonderful establishment and a complement to the town.

It's truly a shame that the recent contemptible allegations regarding Otter House had such an effect on such a positive and honest business.

Not only is it a shame to see an admirable business shut down, but with its closing, Fredericksburg is losing its best live music venue.

We wish Steve and Paul the very best and thank them for their efforts to give the community good food and good music. We're sad to see you go!
