John L. Lawrence, 59, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at his home.

John was a wonderful, kind and giving man. His smile, laughter and love of life will be missed by everyone he touched.

John was born May 1, 1953, in Putney, Vt. He is survived by daughters Stacie Stewart and husband Rick and Dawn Judd. He lives on through his grandchildren, Jordan Judd and Tyler Stewart. He also leaves two brothers, Wendell and Floyd Ellis; and longtime partner Gregg Manning.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Alum Spring Park. A reception will follow.
