Arm of the Lord Ministry, 2100 Airport Ave., will host the NAACP 12th Annual MLK Prayer Breakfast on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m., with the Beulah Baptist Church Mass Choir and Praise Dancers and keynote speaker the Rev. Lawrence A. Davies, pastor emeritus, of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site). Donations are $25 to support the scholarship fund. Limited seating, For reservations call 540/898-2731.

Mount Zion Baptist Church, 309 Wolf St., will welcome the Rev. Terry Brown of Fredericksburg as guest speaker Jan. 20 at 11 a.m.

Trinity Episcopal Church, at the corner of College Avenue and William Street, will hold the third Saturday of the month Special Family Service For All God's Children on Jan. 19 at 5 p.m. This is a service designed to appeal to children and youth of any age, and especially appropriate for children with autism, PDD-NOS, ADHD, ADD, Down Syndrome or any other developmental/physical challenge. 540/373-2996; trinity-fredericks burg.org.


Church of the Messiah, Episcopal, 12201 Spotswood Furnace Road, will hold a potluck luncheon at noon Jan. 20, to be followed by the congregational meeting at 12:45 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. On Jan. 24, Messiah will host the Campus Christian Community Dinner at Mary Washington University's Table Talk Dinner. Berea Baptist Church, 28 Fleet Road, will hold an award ceremony for children during the Sunday school assembly Jan. 20 at 9:45 a.m. Mark Austin of Gideons International will be the speaker at the 11 a.m. service. Little Forest Baptist Church will hold the ordination service for Minister Andrew Juggins Jr. and Minister Keith Obanner on Jan. 26 at 3 p.m.
