William George Boan Sr., 73, of Spotsylvania County died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Heritage Hall.

He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He worked for 30 years in the IBEW Local Union 26.

Survivors include his wife, Emy Sue Boan; his son, William G. Boan Jr. and his wife, Mary; his daughter, Susan Rodgers and her husband, Steven; his granddaughter, Morgan Rodgers; and his brother, Eugene Boan.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hebron Baptist Church, 6431 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, Va. 22551.
