Toll Integrated Systems, which builds roof trusses and other construction materials, is expected to bring about 30 jobs to Culpeper when it opens a new plant on Maddox Drive this coming summer.
"As the housing market improves and continues to grow, we expect to expand our Culpeper facility and add additional employees there to meet the demand," said Keith Fell, director of manufacturing at Toll Integrated.
Culpeper County Economic Development Director Carl Sachs said Culpeper has been courting the company for more than a year.
"It is always wonderful news to hear that another business has decided to call Culpeper its home," said Board of Supervisors' Chairwoman Sue Hansohn. "We look forward to the new job opportunities and investment Toll Integrated Systems will bring to our county."
Mayor Chip Coleman said that he is also pleased that the construction company will expand into the town. "We look forward to a long and special relationship with them," he said.
Toll Integrated Systems is a division of Toll Brothers, which has been building homes for more than 45 years. Toll Integrated currently has facilities in Emporia, Morrisville, Pa., and Knox, Ind., that manufacture components used by Toll Brothers.
The Culpeper plant will furnish roof trusses and other building materials to Toll Brothers communities in the Northern Virginia and Maryland markets, Fell said.
