Two Stafford County men are facing felony charges after being accused of taking basketball shoes from a teenager in Waldorf, Md.
Rashard Marshall, 18, and Kwaune Marshall, 20, both of Patton Lane off U.S. 17, are charged with robbery and second-degree assault, police said.
Diane Richardson, spokeswoman for the Charles County, Md., Sheriff's Office said the Marshalls were arrested Wednesday in connection with a Dec. 10 robbery in the 2000 block of Tanglewood Drive in Waldorf.
Richardson said a 17-year-old boy was walking in the southern Maryland neighborhood when he was confronted by two men. The men assaulted him and took his Nike Air Jordan basketball shoes.
Investigators got information leading them to the Marshalls, who are frequently in the Waldorf area. Following their arrests, police found a key in Kwaune Marshall's pocket that's for a Chevrolet Camaro that had been reported stolen in Washington. A gun was found in the car, but no gun was used in the Waldorf incident.
Other charges in other jurisdictions are pending.
Richardson said she wasn't sure about the relationship between the two suspects, but said they have the same address.
