Stafford firefighters battled a blaze at a boat repair shop in Crane's Corner Industrial Park Friday evening, just off U.S. 1, north of the Centreport Parkway. The 4:45 p.m. fire at 28 Perchwood Drive damaged the facility and several boats inside, but Mark Doyle, assistant chief of Stafford County Fire and Rescue, said no one was injured. Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to boats outside the shop, said Doyle. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said.
