Daniel Louis Beach, 84, a lifelong resident of Hartwood, passed away in the comfort of his home and with his family at his side on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Mr. Beach was the owner and operator of Beach's Garage in Hartwood for 45 years. He served on the Board of Towing in Stafford County for 15 years. Mr. Beach was an avid hunter and loved his dogs and animals. Drag-racing was one of his favorite hobbies.
Survivors include his sons, Donald Beach and wife Beverly of Mechanicsville and Kevin Beach and wife Judy of Hartwood; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; three stepgranddaughters; one stepgrandson; nine great-stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Arnita Beach; parents Bollie and Annie Beach; and brothers Garland Beach and Horace Beach Sr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Ron Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Horace Beach Jr., Thomas Cropp, Ray Heflin, James Wade, Ben Beach and Andrew Beach.
