James William Raymer, 68, of Stafford County passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Raymer was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He owned Tile Worx and Modern Way Carpet. Mr. Raymer was the first draftsman hired by the city of Fredericksburg. He lived an adventurous life and loved to play golf.
Survivors include wife Yolanda C. Raymer; daughter Tammy Cox, brother Tim Raymer and wife Rose and sister Patty Patton and husband Jack, all of Indiana; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful companion Gizmo.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
