Erlene Fortune Bumbrey, 96, of Fredericksburg departed this life Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at her residence.

She is survived by her caregiver, Michael Johnson of Fredericksburg; her nieces and nephews, Doris Fortune, William Fortune, Roland Fortune, Carolyn Fortune and Charles Chambers; her caregiver's children, Michael Long and Brandy Long Vessels; and a host of cousins, other family and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Central Point, with the Rev. Earl Newsome III, pastor, officiating. Interment in the Fortune family cemetery in Elevon will be private.
