Erika 'Edie' Osman

Erika Edith Renaud "Edie" Osman, 72, of Locust Grove passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in Fredericksburg.

Edie is survived by husband David T. Osman. They were married in 1966 and lived in Miami, Fla., before relocating to Orange County in 1971.

Edie had a strong work ethic and was employed with Blue Bell of Orange and McLean (Southland) of Stafford County and retired from Hilldrup of Stafford. She had recently returned to the workforce when she joined Tobacco World of Locust Grove.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Edie leaves her loving memory to be cherished by a daughter, Teresa Thompson (Donald); two grandsons, David Covington and Jason Covington (Tiffany); three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Sara and Olivia Covington; three sisters, Jane Titchler, Peggy Maitland and Fran Renaud; numerous nieces and nephews; many close friends; and her canine companion, Gizmo.

Edie was preceded in death by her son, Thomas "Tommy" Osman; her brother, Charles "Butch" Renaud; and her parents, Mabel Kilpatrick and Charles V. Renaud.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove.
