An event catering to enthusiasts of endurance sports such as running, cycling, triathlons and more is coming to the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center this weekend.
The Mid-Atlantic Endurance & MultiSport Expo will run starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Expo Center near the Wegmans supermarket in Celebrate Virginia South.
Nearly 100 companies that offer fitness-related nutritional products, training, clothing, events and equipment have signed up to be exhibitors.
The event will also feature giveaways and a series of seminars for endurance athletes run by well-known coaches, nutritionists and athletes.
Event organizers say there will be something for everyone, whether beginner or hard-core endurance athlete.
Expo Center owner Ballantine Management Group is putting on the event in conjunction with the Endurance Sports Expo Group.
The group has run similar events in the Philadelphia area for the past three years. A New Jersey location was added last year.
Tickets cost $7 online and $8 at the event. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge. A discount coupon is available on the event's website, and fredericksburg.com's Shop Local Deals is running a promotion offering four tickets for $15.
