;">Emma Davis, daughter of Kelly and James Davis of Stafford County, was selected as Fredericksburg Optimist Club Stu-dent for December at Mountain View High School. Emma is a member of Tri-M Music Honor Society and serves as SCA reporter. She is very involved in leadership class, helping out those in need and volunteering at the Special Olympics held every year at Mountain View. Emma plans to continue her education at the college level and study marine biology.

The following students have been selected as the Fredericksburg Optimist Club's Students of the Month for January.

;">Nathaniel Joseph Robinson, son of Brian and Dinah Robinson, was selected at James Monroe High School. He is president of the Future Business Leaders of Am-erica, co-vice president of the Spanish Club, and a member of the National Honor Society, Career and Technical Education Advisory Board, Key Club, Beta Club, KOM Mentor, varsity tennis team and cross country team.

He was named a Monroe Scholar and received the FBLA Leadership Award. Nathaniel was named Outstanding Student in design multimedia and computer information systems. He was a winner in the FBLA Regional Competition and was nominated for Boys State.

Nathaniel is a volunteer at the Rappahannock Regional Library and participated in the March of Dimes Walk, Fredericksburg Food Bank Drive and various Red Cross projects. He hopes to attend James Madison University or University of Mary Washington.

;">Emily Reinwald, daughter of Shawn and Mary Reinwald, was selected at Mountain View High School. She is a full IB Diploma candidate and vice president of the National Honor Society. She is editor in chief of The Viewpoint and vice president of Mu Alpha Theta and French Club. Emily is also the co-founder of Hands Helping Central America and is involved with Students Helping Honduras. This past summer she attended Virginia Girls State. She is co-captain of the varsity field hockey team and also participates in varsity cross country and indoor and outdoor track. Emily plans to continue her education at the college level majoring in international relations and studying both Spanish and French.
