Janet "Aunt Jan" Berkley, formerly of Baltimore, Md., and born Nov. 23, 1917, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., retired this life on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Carriage Hill Health and Rehab Center in Fredericksburg.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Brianna Berkley of Alexandria and Shannon Jones of Baltimore; a daughter-in-law, Tonya Pitts of York, Pa; three nephews, John W. Parker, Thomas Parker (Brenda) and Robert Parker (Yvonne), all of Fredericksburg; great-niece Dianne Parker of Fredericksburg; great-nephews Tony Parker of Fredericksburg and Allegro "Biggo" Parker (Adel) of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at A.L. Bennett & Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg. A homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at A.L. Bennett & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Maryland National Memorial Park, Laurel, Md.
