STAFFORD COUNTY

The Planning Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the board chambers of the George L. Gordon Jr., Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road.

The School Board will hold a work session 5 p.m. Tuesday in the executive session room at the Alvin Y. Bandy Complex, 31 Stafford Ave. The regular School Board meeting will follow at 7 p.m. in the board chambers.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

The Board of Supervisors meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the board chambers of the Holbert Building, 9104 Courthouse Road. Supervisors will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on an ordinance that would allow people to have chickens in most residential areas.

The School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the administrative offices at 8020 River Stone Drive in Massaponax. A budget public hearing and a vote on the 2013-14 calendar are on the agenda.

CAROLINE COUNTY

The Board of Supervisors meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Services Center near Milford. The county administrator will present his proposed budget for the coming fiscal year.

ORANGE COUNTY

The Board of Supervisors meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Gordon Building, 112 West Main St., Orange

The School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Education Administration Complex, 200 Dailey Drive, Orange. It will reconvene with the supervisors at 7:30 p.m. at the Gordon Building to present the proposed schools budget for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
