Dr. Raymond S. Jones has been keeping kids healthy for half a century, 45 in the Fredericksburg region.
He's seen his young patients grow up to be parents, then grandparents.
He's seen common and serious childhood illnesses vanish.
He's seen joyful moments and painful moments--all part of the daily round of his career
Sunday's Life section will highlight the career of the beloved doctor, now anticipating a busy retirement.
This photo was taken in the late 1960s, when he was chief of pediatrics for the U. S. Army hospital, Huntsville, Ala., caring for families of military personnel.
