Truman A. "Skip" Cox III, 44, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
He was the master distiller at A. Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg. He had an unmistakable passion for life, family and bourbon making.
Mr. Cox was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha at Florida Tech. He had served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Cox was an avid deer hunter and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Quinn Cox; daughter Emerson Cox; parents Truman Allen Jr. and Joanne Cox; sisters Shannon Roff (Ron) and Rachelle Camacho; and nephews Jacob, Kyle and Connor.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
