Nancy Lee Toombs Fletcher, 76, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

Nancy was born Oct. 18, 1936, to Samuel and Elizabeth Hardy Toombs in Fredericksburg. She married Rufus David Fletcher on Sept. 4, 1953, in Fredericksburg. He preceded her in death just after their 50th wedding anniversary.

Nancy worked as a dietitian at Fredericksburg Nursing Home for more than 33 years.

Survivors include three sons, Rufus David Jr. and wife Janice, Timothy Ray and wife Debbie and Gary Lee and wife Cindy; daughter: Nancy Carol Morgan and husband Mitchell; two brothers, Harry Toombs and Frankie Toombs; sister Betty Lou Sullivan; three grandsons, Rufus David Marshall Fletcher, Marshall Lane Morgan and Jonathan William Fletcher; three granddaughters, Kimberly Dawn Reid, Tabitha Renee Moore and Tiffani Rae Fletcher; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers Kenneth and Bobby Toombs.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, with a funeral beginning at 2 p.m., at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. Pastor Jason Booth will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
