Sherry Lee Synan, 48, of Stafford County died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Ms. Synan was a 1983 graduate of Courtland High School. She retired from Safeway.

Survivors include two children, Jeffrey Williams II and Deanna Williams; mother Betty Tingler; and a brother, Melvin Synan Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Synan Sr.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. E.N. Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in the Synan family cemetery, Spotsylvania County.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Harley Tate, Joe Tate, Okey Synan, Mike Williams, Philip Payne and Mike Mitchell.
