This letter is in response to Richard Amrhine's column ["Parental rights? Maybe not," Feb. 17]. Amrhine takes it again to the far left, which is what our president wanted to do to divide our country.
Amrhine cites several resolutions and bills, but his liberal leaning is apparent when he mentions the Second Amendment twice in an article about raising children. It takes a village? Children have more to fear from parents than government?
I guess he wants to know how government can amend the Constitution to take away guns and put more laws in place to regulate our daily lives. His thoughts are in the right place, but he's on the wrong road.
