Hazel Lee Bryant, 89, of Spotsylvania County passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013.

Born June 2, 1923, in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Ollie Newton Bryant and Maude Christian Bryant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Scott Bryant and a son, Jerry W. Bryant.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly B. Davis and husband Donald and a son, Stan L. Bryant and wife Cari, all of Spotsylvania; a brother, A. Gordon Bryant and wife Virginia of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Stephanie Cheatham of Rustburg, Cindy Maddox and husband Chad of Lynchburg and Scottie Davis and wife Dawn and Shelby Bryant, all of Spotsylvania; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, with the Rev. Jeffrey Worley officiating. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
