William "Bill" G. Powell, 78, of Colonial Beach passed away Tuesday. Feb. 26, 2013, at home.

Bill was a retired builder and the widower of Shirley J. Powell.

He is survived by three daughters, Susie Perez of Harrisburg, Pa., Dawn Zimmerman of King George County and Tina Heath of Charlottesville; two brothers, Joe Powell of Colonial Beach and Leonard Powell of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Bill's family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George with a memorial service beginning at 3 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Richard Headley. Burial will be private,
