Ralph Warren Davis Jr., 66, of Spotsylvania County passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Davis enjoyed reading, the outdoors and Michigan Wolverine football. He had retired from the U.S. Army after serving during the Vietnam and Desert Storm eras. He was a special forces master sergeant in the Green Beret.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ana Davis; children Pat Conrad (Jeff), Karine Anderson (Steve), Ralph Davis III (Tiffany) and Susan Simmons (Mike); mother Doris Davis; sister Genevieve Davis; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at noon Friday, March 8, at Encounter Church of God. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
