Denise Eckleberry McFeeley, 60, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Retreat Doctors' Hospital in Richmond.
She was born to Roy and Louise Eckleberry in Norfolk. She graduated from Virginia Tech with an elementary education degree. She worked for 35 years for Caroline County Schools as a teacher, grade level chairman and instructional specialist. She was an avid Virginia Tech Hokies fan.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis McFeeley; her mother, Louise Eckleberry; her sister, Diane Eckleberry; two daughters, Courtney Mascher (Jason) and Kristen Arel (Alan); and a granddaughter, Sienna Mascher. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Eckleberry.
The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A graveside burial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.
She was a loving person that touched many lives as an educator and a friend. She was a cherished wife, daughter, sister, mother and nana and will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts.
