Mary Ann Jeter Marsh, 70, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.

She was born in Stafford County on Jan. 6, 1943, to the late Evelyn Reed and Thomas Warren Jeter.

Mary was a cashier at Earl's Food Market and FasMart. She was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church in Brooke.

She is survived by sons Benjamin N. Marsh of Falmouth and Alan J. Marsh of Fredericksburg; daughter LaWanda B. Marsh of Fredericksburg; brothers James T. Jeter (Lorraine) of Marietta, Ga., George A. Jeter of Portsmouth, Robert T. Jeter (Valerie) of Hampton. Rudolph H. Jeter (Doris) of Richmond and John C. Jeter of Spotsylvania County; grandsons Justin L. Jewell and Dayton R. Marsh, both of Falmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Brooke, with the Rev. James Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
