On Feb. 6, I suffered a fall from a curb onto Caroline Street and was amazed and grateful how fast several local residents came to my aid.

My heartfelt thanks goes to the Fredericksburg Fire and Police departments, two city employees, and two people who parked their car and gave help. They were all sincerely concerned.

It was encouraging to see so many people go out of their way to assist someone unknown and in need. Thank you, all. I am proud to live here.
