Eugene Albert White, 77, of Spotsylvania County died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mr. White was a member of Spotswood Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and enjoyed fellowship with his beloved church friends. He loved the beach, baseball, basketball and fishing. He played minor league baseball.

Above all, Mr. White loved Almighty God and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Geneva White; three children, Eugene David White and wife Susan, Deborah Ann Lyle and husband Doug and Thomas Gregory White and wife Amanda; sister Elsie White; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, at Spotswood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
