Good for Linda White. She writes, "The United States can recover if politicians have the will," and that our president doesn't have the will to lead financial recovery ["Surprise! Dems keep upping the ante," March 3].
Rather, I think his only goal is to defeat the GOP in the next congressional election and then steamroll all of us further toward a government-dominated country in his final two years. He won't negotiate with Congress to improve our economy. He will instead campaign.
He proved early on that he wouldn't negotiate on the economy. In one of his first conferences with Senate and GOP leaders, he arrogantly cut short a rational discussion with the GOP's Paul Ryan. He's smarter than any of them, don't you see. He doesn't even like them.
Why should he? His Democrats gave us Obamacare. When they again get control of the House as well as the Senate, they will give him whatever he wants--except a nation in economic recovery. Our long slog will continue until he has to leave.
God bless the USA; Obama's White House won't.
