I was surprised to see a letter to the editor ["Thinking required," March 3] in support of the cartoon "Brevity." I read the editorial pages daily, but must have missed the negative letters concerning the cartoon.

"Brevity" has to be the world's worst comic strip. It's written by two people who must be either drunk or stoned when they write it and then find the strip hilarious. It's full of obscure references that anyone with a life would fail to understand. The newspaper would be better off with blank space: That would be as funny as "Brevity."
