I would like to express my appreciation to Jennifer Strobel for acknowledging Dr. Raymond Jones' 50 years of service to children and families in our area ["Doctor was there for family every step of the way," Feb. 17].

She captured my family's heart of gratitude for Dr. Jones who was also there for us in births, illnesses, and even the loss of a child. He served us with compassion and excellence.

We wish him many blessings in his so richly deserved retirement.
