On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, Elsie Marie Gould, beloved and devoted mother of Jean R. Filter and Richard W. Gould, passed away at Mary Washington Hospital after a long illness.

She was born Dec. 25, 1921, in White Stone. She is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Obie L. Gould; and son Keith L. Gould.

Elsie was a wonderful, Christian lady who loved the Lord, her family, her church family, her friends, taking trips and the Washington Redskins. Her wishes were to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the Fredericksburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6052 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church school auditorium.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to her church.
