I just wanted to comment on the column written by Mary Walsh in the March 10 Viewpoints section: "Against all odds: Ben Carson's gift."
It was fantastic to see that somebody appreciated the movie, "Gifted Hands," detailing the life of Dr. Ben Carson as much as I did. I was lucky enough to see Dr. Carson speak at a diversity conference in Detroit, and I strongly encourage anybody who has the chance to see Dr. Carson speak to take the time to do so. He is an incredibly dynamic speaker; to say that he is a motivational speaker is to do him a disservice. Not only is he a gifted surgeon, but an incredibly gifted speaker.
Dr. Carson's compassion is something most of us could only aspire to. Thanks to Walsh for bringing the movie to the readers' attention.
