In reference to Jim Hall's article ["Doctor under scrutiny"] published Feb. 22, about Dr. Nibedita Mohanty, we take great exception to the assassination of her character.
Having known Dr. Mohanty both as a neighbor and patients (current), we both have been the recipients of her outstanding medical care and concern. Due to my husband's ongoing need for constant observation and adjustments to his pain prescriptions, we assume his records for the past seven years were reviewed by the expert Dr. Stephen Loyd and deemed appropriate.
Our question: How can your paper publish an expose when no charges have been bought against Dr. Mohanty, and malign her name and damage the career of an outstanding physician?
