On Jan. 4, 2013, Jane Suydam Munn, 84, passed away peacefully in Pasadena, Calif.
Jane was the daughter of the late Mazie and Stanley Suydam of Washington, D.C. She met, fell in love and married retired Marine Col. Charles R. "Chuck" Munn in Fredericksburg, where they lived for more than 25 years. Those years were truly her happiest.
She was predeceased by her husband in 2007; and son R.S. "Mike" Chevalier in 2012.
She is survived by daughter Denise Klein (Peter); son Christopher Chevalier (Cristina Cornejo); daughter-in-law Jennifer Chevalier; Chuck's children, Charles R. Munn III, Susan Munn and Laura Lee Curran (Rob); 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
We will all remember "Grandmommy" for her terrific sense of humor, her amazing and creative Christmas gift wrapping, her love of books and a good poker game, and her deep and abiding love of "Grand Chuck."
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle.
