Carol Ann Owens, 72, of Bealeton went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, March 18, 2013, peacefully holding the hands of her four daughters, son and granddaughter at her residence.

She was born in Sutton, W.Va., on June 9, 1940. She was predeceased by her husband, James Edward Owens; sons Danny and Jimmy McDermott; brothers Charles Ray Harris and Oren Otis Harris; twin sister Catherine Nichols; and grandson Shawn Tyler Corsaro.

She is survived by her children, Patti and Wayne Bird of Culpeper, Cathy and Tony Ryschon of Fredericksburg, Donna and John Miller of Partlow, Tim McDermott and Jennifer of Bealeton and Vicky McDermott and Mario of Fredericksburg; sister Wanda Harris of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; aunt Doris Harris of Douglasville; sisters-in-law Carol Harris of Warrenton and Ruth Harris of Sumerduck; grandchildren Tara Gochanour, April Corsaro, Eddie Woodward, Ray Newton, Ashlee Miller, Heather, Sami and Timmy McDermott and Matthew and Michael Shelton; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, with Pastor Steve Dodson officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, in Bealeton.
