Alfonza Tyrone Barnett

Alfonza Tyrone Barnett, affectionately known to his Virginia family and friends as "Ro-Ro," was a resident of Lakewood, Wash., and was born August 25, 1961, in Fredericksburg to his loving parents, the late James Ashby Barnett Sr. and Francis Irene Barnett of Spotsylvania County. He peacefully departed this life on Monday, March 25, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Wash.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Wiltina Wilson Barnett; his daughter, Alexis S. Barnett of Lakewood; his mother, Francis Irene Barnett of Spotsylvania; his mother-in-law, Betty France of Hopkinsville, Ky.; his siblings, James Ashby Jr., Regina Ellis (Harold), Anna Ellis (Charles), Angela Brown (Ricky) and Thomas Barnett (Lista), all of Spotsylvania; his brother-in-law, Donta Daniels (Danella), and sister-in-law, Pamela Wilson, both of Hopkinsville; a great-aunt, Mrs. Josephine Brown of Fredericksburg; two aunts, Beatrice Williams of Spotsylvania and Mamie Underwood of Washington, D.C.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at A.L. Bennett & Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, Va. 22408. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at Sylvannah Baptist Church, 8400 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, Va. 22551, with the Rev. Denis Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
