James A. Trivette

James Austin Trivette of Milford, a son, brother, grandson and nephew, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.

James, 21, died in a tragic car accident, taken from his family too soon.

He is recalled as a young man with a radiant personality and a smile that would melt a heart.

James was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he loved to train hunting dogs. He was always surrounded by friends whom he loved and who loved him in return.

He was a steamfitter apprentice for R.M. Thornton and a member of Steamfitters Union Local 602 of Washington, D.C. He had been accepted by a technical school for apprenticeship training.

He is survived by his loving family, mother and stepfather Dawn and Roy Haun; father B. Daniel Trivette; brothers Jason "Bucky" Trivette and Jacob Trivette; maternal grandparents Donald and Aileen Pitts of Milford; uncles and aunts Gary and Joyce Watts and Donald Jr. and Mary Pitts, all of Milford, Donald and Terry Evans of Spotsylvania County, Tom and Lona Dunlavey of Aylett, Alpha and Kim Trivette of Georgia and Randy and Nancy Trivette of New Jersey; and many loving cousins.

He also is survived by his "second family," the Smith family of Smith Dairy Farm in Ruther Glen; and a loyal bloodhound, Tess.

James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Burle and Madelene Trivette.

His life will be celebrated Sunday, April 14, at the Caroline Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m., and a service celebrating his life will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church cemetery, 24032 Sparta Road, Sparta.

The family suggests memorial donations to Caroline County Little League, Box 1179, Bowling Green, Va. 22427; or Hunters for the Hungry, Box 304, Big Island, Va. 24526.

Funeral arrangements are by Storke Funeral Home in Bowling Green, and an online register is available at storkefuneralhome.com.
