Frances Griscavage

Frances Evelyn Shaw Griscavage, 71, of King George County passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Heritage Hall, King George.

Frances was born in Toccoa, Ga., and grew up in Statesboro, Ga. She retired as a secretary with the U.S. government in Dahlgren. Frances was treasurer and member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a genealogist for the Clan Shaw Society, an outdoorswoman who loved hunting and fishing and an avid traveler, crossing the U.S. numerous times.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley J. Griscavage of King George; two sons, James Griscavage and his wife, Donna Seale, of Bristol and Jason Justin Griscavage and his wife, Jessica Mary, of Springfield; and a grandson, Joseph Robert Griscavage of Springfield.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment will take place in Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
