Ingeborg A. Allee

Ingeborg Aurora "Inga" Allee, 84, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her children.

Inga was born in Berlin, Germany, on July 28, 1928, a daughter of Paul Richard and Aurora Lenzner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters; two husbands, Alfred Allee and William "Jack" Boswell; and her firstborn, Barbara "Bobbi" Marks.

She is survived by three children, John Allee, Alfred Allee and Patricia Allee; daughters-in-law Jessica Metcalfe Allee and Deborah Long; son-in-law Alan Marks; and grandchildren Sherry Lynn Fistler, Pamela Marie Fling, Justin Marks, Katharina Aurora Martinez and Jlynn Marie Allee; six great-grandchildren; and countless friends everywhere.

Inga survived the horrors of Nazi Germany and came to the United States in November 1954.

She loved taking care of and being of service to others, holidays and celebrations, bingo, poker (she was a regular at Fredericksburg's American Restaurant Poker League), growing the best tomatoes and being anywhere pretty. She managed several restaurants, a bowling alley, the Sterling Ruritan Club, countless private catering events and even security at Dulles International Airport.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Fredericksburg.
