Why preserve the campsites of invaders?

Why preserve the campsites of invaders?

Stafford County could be the catalyst to improve the economy of the state. There must be thousands of former Union Army campsites to preserve while that army was visiting the state. There are probably at least 1,000 in the Shenandoah Valley.

I doubt there is one country in the world that has not suffered from an invading army, and Stafford could be the first to preserve their campsites.

It took almost 100 years for the South to recover from the Yankee invasion. The preservation of a campsite of an invading army must be noble. The idea of preserving the campsites of an invading army could have an impact on worldwide economic activity if known.

Germany could preserve the campsites of the Russian army, Russia could preserve the campsites of the Germans, Ireland could preserve the campsites of Cromwell's army, and Peru should be interested in preserving Pizarro's campsites. This could be an idea whose time has come, and could help with world peace.
