Marilyn J. Hochmuth

Marilyn J. Hochmuth, 70, of Prince William County passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Falls Run Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Hochmuth was a member of Dumfries United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for more than 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Montclair Garden Club. Mrs. Hochmuth was a curator at the Weems-Bott Museum and a member of Historic Dumfries. She was an artist, enjoyed flower arranging, interior decorating and cooking and baking. She made the "World's Best" kielbasa sausage.

Survivors include her children, Robert Hochmuth and his wife, Teresa, Rick Hochmuth and his wife, Dianne, Jamie Hochmuth and his wife, Amy, and Kimberly Sarratt and her husband, Donnie; sisters Susan Davis and Kathy Potter; nine grandchildren, Jason Barnett, Kim Maurer, Adam Hochmuth, Olivia Knight- Hochmuth, Jalen Sarratt, Joshua Sarratt, Elijah Sarratt, Theo Hochmuth and Amelia Hochmuth; five great-grandchildren, Abbey, Kyleigh, Mackenzie, Drew and Jaden; sister-in-law Sue; and many loved relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Hochmuth Jr.; parents James and Rosalie Tucker; and brothers Tommy and Jimmy Tucker.

A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, May 9, at Dumfries United Methodist Church. Burial will be private.
