Lora Putt

Lora Mae Bullock Putt, 81, of Ruther Glen died Monday May 6, 2013, in Ashland.

Born in Caroline County, in an area that is now a part of Fort A.P. Hill, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Julia Bullock. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland and had retired after 35 years with the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Bivens (Frank) of Mechanicsville and Melanie McKoy of Louisa County; two sisters, Nancy Napier of Woodford and Alma Carter of Fredericksburg; a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Bullock of Ruther Glen; grandson Tripp Wold; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Shelton and Alex Godfrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family expresses their appreciation to the caregivers at Hanover Manor, Alpha House and Bon Secours Hospice, who showed Lora genuine care and affection.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green.

A funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
