Anthony R. Turner

Anthony Robert "Bobby" Turner, 58, of Clarksville passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013, at his home.

Bobby was born Sept. 2, 1954, in Raleigh, N.C., to the Rev. Lewis Warren Turner and Wanda Sweeney Turner (deceased). He was a graduate of Bluestone High School. He was a deacon and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a member of the Clarksville Gideons.

He was employed with NAPA Auto Parts, Clarksville Auto Supply and the Machine Shop as a machine shop operator for 38 years.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, in the Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen DeOrnellas officiating. The family will receive friends just prior to the service, starting at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery.

In addition to his father, Bobby is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mittie Sue and Jeffrey King of Victoria; and brother and sister-in-law, Lewis W. Jr. and Mei-Yin Turner of Chapel Hill, N.C.; his niece, Melissa Quinn; and nephews, Timmy Overton, William Turner, Thomas Turner, Joseph Turner and James Turner.
