Wilma J. Hanback

Wilma Jean Hanback, 82, of Sumerduck passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her home.

She was born March 15, 1931, in Glenville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Holmes and Wauline Brooks Woodford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hayden Gene Hughes and Forrest G. Hanback.

Wilma had retired after 21 years of service with Bell-Atlantic. She was a former resident of Vienna and Sterling. She was a current member of Morrisville United Methodist Church.

Wilma is survived by two sons, Robert Hughes and his partner, Shannon Kreutz, of Sumerduck and William Hughes and his partner, Linda Proctor, of Sterling; one daughter, Margaret Swaney and her husband, Richard, of Princeton, W.Va.; stepdaughter Charlene Henley of Buford, Ga.; three grandchildren, Steven and Joseph Hughes and Dawn Hughes Tyler; and two stepgrandsons, Christopher and Michael Henley.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Andrew Chapel cemetery, Vienna.
