Sean Thomas Mastin

Sean Thomas Mastin, 42, of Lancaster County, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed into eternal glory at his home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, ending an eight-month battle with leukemia.

Sean was the only son of Nancy Thomas Nichols and Larry M. Mastin. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of three years, Rhoda; and her son, Bobby Nicholson, his wife, Malyia, and daughter Riley.

Sean also leaves behind his beloved and devoted step-father, Kenneth Nichols; and sisters Kristen Wade Sauer of Mechanicsville, Lori Ventura of Fredericksburg, Sarah Kiker of Spotsylvania County and Angela Hill of Richmond; special uncle Randall Mastin; aunt Barbara Sorrell; uncle Samuel Thomas; and their respective families. He was predeceased by grandparents Ruby and Lue Thomas and Lorraine and Manilous Mastin.

A certified Reiki Master/Healer, Sean spent the last years of his life in daily Bible study and ministering to anyone he came into contact with. His faith, perseverance and compassion for those around him were inspiring to all. He courageously battled against the disease that would ultimately end his life. He was a source of encouragement and inspiration to all who who were blessed to know him.

A graveside celebration of Sean's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Farnham Baptist Church, 4632 Farnham Creek Road, Farnham, Va. 22460, with reception to follow in the church social hall.
