Bernard W. Reynolds

Bernard Webster Reynolds was born May 9, 1930, to the late Aubrey and Evelyn Reynolds. He peacefully departed this life and passed into eternal rest on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Smith Reynolds.

Bernard attended school in Caroline County. He was a member of the Deacon Ministry at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Spotsylvania for over 30 years, having served as chairman for many years. He was a member of the Men's Choir, Men's Ministry, Ushers, and Prayer Band. He served in the United States Army and retired after 34 years at Quantico Marine Base Maintenance Department, Quantico.

Bernard was Past Master of Welcome Lodge #125 Bowling Green, Past Commander in Chief Fredericksburg Consistory #346, Honorary Past Potentate of Magnus Temple #3 Alexandria and Past Excellent High Priest of W.W. Lee #72.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Bernard Rollins and his wife Lisa; two grandchildren; five sisters, Carrie Baker, Gladys Reynolds, Helen Reynolds, Mary Graves and Lessie Reynolds; two brothers, Aubrey Reynolds Jr. of Woodford and Charles Reynolds of Maryland; one brother-in-law, John Graves; one sister-in-law, Gloria Reynolds; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and a very dear and close friend, Mary Ellis.

A viewing will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4700 Massaponax Church Road, Fredericksburg, on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, at noon at the church, with interment Monday, July 8, at Quantico National Cemetery.
