Elizabeth Haymes "Bug" Foltz, 96, of Bowling Green died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

She was the oldest resident of Bowling Green and was born and lived her entire life in the same home. She graduated from Lee-Maury High School as salutatorian at the age of 15.

Bug was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked as a deputy clerk for the Caroline County clerk of court. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ashby Foltz Sr.

Survivors include her son, Paul Ashby Foltz Jr. and his wife, Ellyn, of Roswell, Ga.; her sister, Emily Swoap and her husband, Tom, of Bowling Green; her grandson, Paul Ashby Foltz III of Roswell; nephews Thomas F. Swoap, Henry C. Swoap and Mark Haymes; numerous Foltz nieces and nephews; and her faithful caregivers, Jane Hudson and Rosalie Hanley.

A funeral will be held Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with burial to follow in Lakewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bowling Green Rescue Squad, Calvary Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
