Four weeks ago, I injured my left leg when I whammed into my lowered dishwasher door.
I knew that open leg wounds are hard to heal. My fear was infection in this deep open sore.
I had heard about the Lee's Hill South wound care center (Mary Washington Healthcare Wound Healing Center). Two friends used their services and had nothing but praise for the care they received. I now add my unsolicited endorsement to this center.
No referral was needed; patients are given a set appointment time and never wait more than five minutes to be seen; staff is knowledgeable, kind, and efficient; and Medicare insurance is accepted.
Friends asked about the compression wrap that I wore for three weeks. Not one of them had heard that Fredericksburg even had a Wound Healing Center.
On the day the doctor declared that my wound was healed I did not get a lollipop; instead, I got to ring a big, wall-mounted bell that loudly told staff and patients about another successful healing.
