Vernice Queen

Vernice Queen, 93, of Stafford County died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Falls Run Nursing and Rehab Center.

Vernice was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Stafford. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Queen and her mother, Blanch Queen.

She was a member of the Pastor's Aide Committee, Hospitality Committee and the Women's Auxiliary.

Mrs. Queen is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline V. Allen and Marian E. Queen and a son, Gregory L. Queen, all of Stafford; 19 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 64 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Henry P. During, officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior.
