I am not anti-gun. A recent news story points out the need for a strictly enforced law that spells out how a handgun must be stored.
I reference "SUV stolen, found in a flash" [Sept. 5], about the car that was stolen and recovered before the owner knew it was missing. It stated that a gun was missing from the recovered car.
I fail to see how anyone can justify keeping a gun in a car that obviously was parked outside, not in a garage. Storing a firearm in that manner is totally irresponsible. Now we have a less-than-upstanding citizen running around the area with a stolen handgun. To the owner of the car: Thanks for making our streets just a little more dangerous.
